We would like to invite you to our next HR Club, for which we have invited a guest speaker, Mark Stevens, to talk about employee data protection issues and look at the obligations that all employers have under the UK GDPR. Mark is a Senior Associate in the employment team at VWV and expert in employment data protection issues.
Managing employee information and data protection issues properly are of critical importance to any organisation, so ignore it at your peril!
In this session Mark is going to be covering:
- Subject Access Requests – what they are, how to search for personal data, exemptions from disclosure and issuing the response;
- Information Security – what the requirements are in terms of keeping employee information secure, consequences of breach and risks of claims;
- Accountability and Transparency – what organisations are required to put in place for GDPR purposes, for example privacy notices and policies.
