In this session we take delegates through the process of changing terms and conditions of employment, looking at the preliminary considerations, mapping out the different steps and providing tips and practical advice on how to keep staff on board during a period of change. This session covers the basic process as well as some of the complex issues that can sometimes crop up when you need to amend your terms and conditions and send the process off track and into risky territory.

Managing Absence
We look at best practice in relation to managing both short term and long term absence issues. We cover issues such as tackling high short term absence issues, when to more from an informal to formal stage, guidance on how to conduct effective meetings and when to involve occupational health and how to ensure you obtain effective guidance from occupational health.

Workplace Banter
The course looks at what banter is, why it can cause a problem in the workplace, the potential risks, dealing with unacceptable behaviour, setting the tone and parameters at work. We use case studies to highlight the key legal issues involved and provide practical tips for dealing with them.

Managing Menopause in the Workplace
This session covers the issues that can be raised by managing employees who are going through the menopause in the workplace. The menopause and its impact on work is topical at the moment and ACAS have recently released some new guidance. We will use case studies to highlight the key legal issues involved and provide practical ways for HR professionals to deal with them.
